I would like to announce that Hark The Krakken is teaming up with
New Life of Tooele on any shirt or art piece that is purchased. A dollar of the proceeds will go to the outreach program that is available through New Life. They offer a health care clinic, a car care clinic that does small repairs and oil changes, a food bank, a clothing closet, along with shoes, backpacks and school supplies for underprivileged children. They serve breakfast on Saturday mornings for the homeless and everybody who just wants to eat. They also give haircuts. These are just some of the things they offer regardless of beliefs or location or even citizenship. Here's the really cool thing: all of this is offered free! No strings attached. Nothing is required. I think that is something we can all get behind.
All things aside, this is not some kind of ploy or anything of that nature. I just want to share with you that when you buy art or a shirt or anything from Hark the Krakken you give to the community as well which is what I want to be about.
The second thing I would like to announce: Hark The krakken will also be thinking global. The "she shall be called a heart on fire" project, is going to be a series (of shirts and prints) I am going to release with all of the proceeds going to an outreach in
Africa. This is something really special and personal to me. I have always wanted to help in Africa and have finally found a way to do it.This outreach is amazing. They change people's situation and life by giving them a place to stay and training them up with skills to either start their own company or get a job. It truly is one of the coolest things ever and this is all offered at no cost to the individual. So I hope you will help me in doing what we can for people who really need help in these times of hardship and beyond -the krakken
